For our Faculty members and current students, we use the website to communicate information about all kinds of matters: if you are new to the Faculty and have a question, just visit our website. We extend a special welcome to prospective students of all kinds: high school students thinking of applying to Hanoi University of Science (HUS), undergraduates thinking about majoring in 1) Physics, 2) Nuclear Technology or 3) Material Science, prospective graduate students. Short introduction: The Faculty of Physics is located in buildings T1-T5, 334 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh xuan District, Hanoi city. The Faculty has about 80 faculty and research staff who teach and carry out research in the fields of: theoretical physics, condensed matter physics, nuclear physics, high energy particle physics, atomic, molecular & optical physics, radio and electronics, cryogenics, informatics physics, geophysics, applied physics, nuclear technology, nano technology and material science. We have about 140 new undergraduate Physics, Nuclear Technology & Material Science majors, and 60-100 graduate students in the Faculty per year. The richness of educational opportunities offered at the Faculty is based upon a long and distinguished tradition of Teaching and Research. Hanoi University of Science graduates, along with many scientists who spent their formative years here, have gone on to make extraordinary contributions to science as researchers, teachers, engineers, entrepreneurs and intellectual leaders.
